He’s closing in on the trail of a human trafficker and killer. Tessa’s accusations could blow his cover, and he wants her off the investigation. But just as Tessa has made Julian a target of interest, she is now a target of the killer. And as they are forced to trust each other, their physical attraction escalates as intensely as the threat from a ruthless murderer who wants to see both of them dead…

    Review:

Hard Evidence is the second book in the I-Team series by Pamela Clare. I'm a big fan of these series, and it is no brainer that I loved it. This book has scorching hot romance, suspence, action-paced climax and an excellent storyline.

The story follows reporter Tessa Novak from Denver Independent, and an undercover FBI agent, Julian Darcengelo. The theme of every book in this series is spreading awareness about certain crimes. I like that because then it's not just a fun read, it is actually knowledgeable. This book revolves around Human Trafficking of young girls. Tessa is a witness of one of the girl's murder, and that's how she becomes a part of the investigation. On the other side, Julian is working on a Russian Mafia case for the past 10 years, and comes out of hiding because of Tessa. Well, that's how they initially meet, and I'm not gonna give anything else away.

The romance between the characters is gradual but the lust is instant. Both Julian, and Tessa comes from some sort of troubled past, though Julian's is of-course the worst. He is the ultimate bad boy with sweet hearts. Tessa & Julian are perfect for each other. Their chemistry is sizzling hot, and they balance each other really well.

We get to a know a little more about the other I-Team members, and I'm excited to read about every single one of theirs book. Can I just say that Ms. Clare has the nicest yet steamiest epilogue. She ties everything so neatly and who doesn't like a happy ending. Overall, it is an excellent series and a must read. I can't believe I haven't read it until now. Well, now I'm off to the next book.
