What do you do when desire drives you to the very brink?

Someone wants the Native Americans off their sacred land. And when Navajo journalist Katherine James and park ranger Gabriel Rossiter team up to investigate why, their passion for the truth-and each other-makes them targets for those desperate enough to kill.

I-Team is one of my favorite series in contemporary romance, and I'm always so excited about reading a new book when it comes out. When I finished reading Naked Edge, I wasn't satisfied with it. I like it but didn't love it as much as I should heart a Pamela Clare book.

Naked Edge follows Gabe Rossiter, a park ranger, and Katherine (Kat) James, an investigative reporter working for Denver Independent. Kat comes from a very conservative Navajo family, and for me, it was really easing connecting to her. I myself come from a conservative Indian family, and follow my roots with my heart. She was a refreshing character, and I loved reading about her. The best part for me was getting to know more about the Native Americans, and learning about their beliefs & culture. Ms. Clare took a chance with this book, and I think she pulled it off. It was an enlightning read.

All the other book in the I-Team series are very fast-paced, but this was on a slow side. I just felt the investigation part was at times dragged, and boring. I just wanted to fast-forward to get to the point. The other reason I didn't like this as much as the other books was Gabe Rossiter. I know he is hot & adventurous, but he just felt flat for me. Ms. Clare made us fall in love with fabulous characters like Marc & Julian, and I'm sorry, but Gabe was nothing compared to them. He was nice to Kat, and they had the sweetest romance in the series.

If you follow these series, then you don't want to miss out on this book. It is definitely different than most books out there, and I'm glad to have read it. Not my favorite but I thoroughly enjoyed reading it.
