    Synopsis (from Goodreads):
Being connected to Daemon Black sucks… Thanks to his alien mojo, Daemon’s determined to prove what he feels for me is more than a product of our bizarro connection. So I’ve sworn him off, even though he’s running more hot than cold these days. But we’ve got bigger problems.

Something worse than the Arum has come to town…

The Department of Defense are here. If they ever find out what Daemon can do and that we're linked, I’m a goner. So is he. And there's this new boy in school who’s got a secret of his own. He knows what’s happened to me and he can help, but to do so, I have to lie to Daemon and stay away from him. Like that's possible. Against all common sense, I'm falling for Daemon. Hard.

    But then everything changes…
I’ve seen someone who shouldn’t be alive. And I have to tell Daemon, even though I know he’s never going to stop searching until he gets the truth. What happened to his brother? Who betrayed him? And what does the DOD want from them—from me? No one is who they seem. And not everyone will survive the lies…

    Review:
Oh...Holy alien babies everywhere, can this series get any better?

Wow, what a roller-coaster ride it was. Onyx is the second book in the Lux series, and it undoubtedly does not let us down. I was not liking where the story was going in the beginning, but after few events it just blew my mind. I loved what the author did and oh my god, it is so hard not to spoil it. (I will not of-course)

From Obsidian we know that Daemon & Katy are somehow connected. In Onyx, they are still figuring out the extent of their connection throughout this book. It leads to so many new revelation which in turn becomes the strong-point of the series. There are a lot of new intriguing characters, and return of some old ones. The most important one was a new student, Blake. The interesting thing about him was that we didn't know if he was good or bad, which made up a lot of suspense in the story. I liked him, and he was the one who made this book exciting for me, well obviously except from Daemon. Oh, what can I say about him? He showed a totally different side of him, and I loved that Daemon. The one who is caring, overly-protective, sarcastic, funny, and just so sexy. My favorite part was when he & Katy are filming together. Just the best scene ever.

One of the things that made me frustrated was Katy's constant stupid decisions. I really liked her in the first book but in this one, she was beyond unlikable. What the hell happened with you? I just wanted to smack her upside down. Girl, just think before you do something, and don't rush things because that will make it worst. I just wish she'll grow in the next book, because I'm obsessed with this world building, and won't give up. Remember when I said some old characters return, well that was the highlight of the book for me. I'm SO excited to read about them.

Onyx is filled with drool-worthy romance, action-paced climaxes, unexpected betrayals, and a fantabulous must-read story. It is only going to get better from here, and you do not want to miss out on one of THE BEST paranormal YA series out there. Buy the book, and start reading it.
