    Synopsis (from Goodreads):
The year is 1 AWC—After the Wall Crash. The Fae are free and hunting us. It’s a war zone out there, and no two days are alike. I’m Dani O’Malley, the chaos-filled streets of Dublin are my home, and there’s no place I’d rather be.

Dani “Mega” O’Malley plays by her own set of rules—and in a world overrun by Dark Fae, her biggest rule is: Do what it takes to survive. Possessing rare talents and the all-powerful Sword of Light, Dani is more than equipped for the task. In fact, she’s one of the rare humans who can defend themselves against the Unseelie. But now, amid the pandemonium, her greatest gifts have turned into serious liabilities.

Dani’s ex–best friend, MacKayla Lane, wants her dead, the terrifying Unseelie princes have put a price on her head, and Inspector Jayne, the head of the police force, is after her sword and will stop at nothing to get it. What’s more, people are being mysteriously frozen to death all over the city, encased on the spot in sub-zero, icy tableaux.

When Dublin’s most seductive nightclub gets blanketed in hoarfrost, Dani finds herself at the mercy of Ryodan, the club’s ruthless, immortal owner. He needs her quick wit and exceptional skill to figure out what’s freezing Fae and humans dead in their tracks—and Ryodan will do anything to ensure her compliance.

Dodging bullets, fangs, and fists, Dani must strike treacherous bargains and make desperate alliances to save her beloved Dublin—before everything and everyone in it gets iced.

    Review:
I love Dani "Mega" O'Malley! She's The Shit!

I'm beating myself for not picking this up sooner, and reading it the day it was out. Why the wait? I loved the Fever world, and it was so energizing to visit it again in Iced. From the first line, I was hooked. Literally. I didn't stop reading it until I finished it, and it is a damn long book, but so f*cking good. I just had to use that word. Dani Mega O'Malley is my favorite character, she tough, strong, and so hilarious. She's a true entertainer, you sure as hell would not be bored reading this book.

Iced opens up after Shadowfever, so it has to be read in series or you will be confused throughout the book. We don't get to see a lot of Barrons, but Ryodan totally makes up for it. And then there is Christian, and Dancer, which I'm still wondering what his real name is. Dani is only 14, so there is no romance in the story, its more like who gets to have a claim on her when she is older. It sounds very creepy, but it was actually entertaining reading the guys fight off testosterone.

The city of Dublin is getting iced randomly, people frozen between acts and Dani works with Ryodan to solve the mystery, or as she says "forced" to work with him. The best part about Iced was Dani and her narration. It takes time to get used to it because it is kind of childish compared to Mac's, but it was well suited for Dani. Along with the investigation, she is still running her paper, The Dani Daily, which was my favorite parts to read, and guess what (little spoiler ahead) someone plagiarizes it (end of spoiler). Simply hilarious. There are moments in this book that cracks you up, and most of them are Dani's reaction to something or other. I'm obsessed with Dani, she'd all tough on the outside but so pure inside.

Some things that did bother me at times was the change of narration; it wasn't abrupt, it just took a while to guess the narrator. I don't know why Kat's POV or her storyline was added, I didn't particularly liked her parts, and mostly skimmed it. Dani was much more interesting, and Kat just wasn't.

Iced by Karen Marie Moning is highly recommended, start with the Fever series thought. How else can I describe this book? It was entertaining, brilliant, amazing, fantabulous, hilarious, and a must read. It might not have a lot of romance, but it's got enough heat. Ryodan is one yummy man! That's who I'm rooting for, and Dancer. He's so smart, and mysterious, I like him too! The wait for the next book is going to kill me, it needs to come out soon, I need more Mega.
