December 8, 2012
Title: Troubles and Treats
Author: Tara Sivec
Published: Self ; November 29, 2012
Genre: Contemporary Romance, Humor, Adult
Series: Chocolate Lovers
    Seduction and Snacks
    Futures and Frosting
    Troubles and Treats

    Synopsis (from Goodreads):
Drew and Jenny have spent years being the envy of their friends with their out of control sex lives - well, not really. Mostly it makes their friends want to throw up in their mouths a little.

With two little kids and two busy lives, for the first time, Drew and Jenny aren't on the same page in the bedroom. Drew will stop at nothing to get his previously amorous wife back in the sack, and Jenny will do anything for a full night of sleep.

Carter and Claire, and Jim and Liz are their usual (un)helpful selves and are full of advice for the discontented duo, wanting nothing more than to help restore order to the usually happy couple's lives.

In the third and final installment of the Chocolate Lovers Series, will Drew and Jenny find the spark that's been missing in their marriage, or will the trouble they're having cause a stickier situation than the time Jenny poured honey all over Drew and he fused himself to a tree?

    Review:

Oh. My. Goodness! I just finished reading the last line, and can't stop jumping up & down. The only question I have now is WHO and WHEN? Troubles and Treats is hands down THE BEST book in the Chocolate Lovers series, simply because it has Drew in it. It is freaking hilarious, I literally had to bite down on my hand so I don't make a noise, and wake everyone up. It gets crazy whenever I read a Tara Sivec book, but I love it every single time.

Drew is known for his laugh out loud one-liners, over-the-top X-rated T shirts, and monkey crazy sexual lifestyle. I loved him in Snacks and Seduction & Futures and Frosting, and after reading Troubles and Treats, I just can't get over him. He's funny, stupid, lazy yet very loving at the same time. He's married to Jenny who is hot as hell with a screw in her brain. I still couldn't understand why she interpret that in the Vibrator Race (Read the book, you'll know).

Drew & Jenny have hit a dry spell after their son, Billy was born, and the main focus of the story was to get over it, and start banging again. I loved that the author included some flashback of how they met, and showed how well they bonded at their first date; those scenes made me fall in love with them, and really respect them as a couple. Jenny is always portrayed as a stupid one, but in reality she is very normal, yes a little dumb at times but nevertheless, she is a smart woman. I can't share anymore with you because it would spoil good parts. Lets just say that there is a counselor scene that was one of my favorite, scratch that, the guys training/race scene was the best or how about the whole freaking book.

Chocolate Lovers by Tara Sivec is a one-of-a-kind series, and a definite must read. It has laughter, romance, and full on entertainment in it. I can't recommend it enough. I'll say it again. I loved Troubles and Treats! It is such a refreshing book. If you haven't read this series, you need to pick them up ASAP, and if you have, then read it again because it doesn't get old.
