When young con artist Ellie Watt decides to call herself Eden White and go after the drug lord who ruined her as a child, she never expects to fall for one of his henchmen. But Javier Bernal is no ordinary man. Subtly dangerous and overwhelmingly seductive, Eden finds herself passionately in love with Javier, the very person she's set-up to betray. With her body and heart in a heated battle against her deep need for revenge, no one will walk away from this con a winner.

This 50K word (100+ pages) novella takes place six years before Sins & Needles. It can be read before or after Sins & Needles and may also be read as a standalone.
Review:

*It has spoilers for Sins & Needles*

Oh WoW! That was one steamy read. I love Javier even more now that I've seen him in action and boy was he hot. Also, I loved the fact that he was so protective of her sisters and of Eden. That's says a lot about the type of man he is and I get that he is ruthless and dangerous and even a murderer, but there is something about him that makes me want to overlook everything bad in him and love the other Javier hiding in there.

On Every Street is told from Ellie's POV about her time with Javier and how she got involved in her first con to take a revenge against the person who ruined her childhood. I was a tiny bit disappointed that we never got Javier's POV because I really wanted to know his side of the story. How he felt with Eden? Was any of it real? Was he really depressed at the end? Why did he cheat? How did he felt after Eden left him? Those are the answers I was looking forward to but I guess that's for another day. What I liked about On Every Street is that we get to experience the naive Ellie turn into Eden and take up the path her parents went through. She goes from being soft & innocent and ready to do anything for love to tough & strong and ready to do be a good con artist. I might like her a little now that I know why she is a heartless person in Sins & Needles.

Eden and Javier had a very dreamy romance. He is like a dark knight ready to put a bullet in anyone's head who might hurt Eden. Yeah, it's not fairytale dreamy, more like gangsta dreamy. If you haven't read Sins & Needle, well then congratulations you've been spoiled because you missed my warning, but you should still pick up this book. It is worth a read if you like crime themed stories. I still think Ellie & Javier could work it together and Camden could be out of the picture with his ex-wife and son, but Ellie needs to be real with Javier. Both of them hurt each other in different ways and I really really want Javier's POV to his see where his feelings at. Please Karina Halle, make it happen *begs*.

  1. I just finished this last night and I'm still all tied up in knots from it. I kind of wonder if Javier doesn't already know who Eden really is, you know? Just a thought. Funny how I have no problem with him being a murderer but him at the end really pissed me off...even knowing it was coming. Loved this novella, loved your review, love Javier.

    1. That's what I wonder too. He's not stupid and I was so mad at him in the end, it made no sense. We really need a Javier POV to figure that out.
      Thanks!

  3. I haven't heard of The Artists Trilogy, AND I read the spoiler warning AFTER reading your review (well, it's more like I read it in the last para itself)! ;) Anyways, Javier sounds so cool! I love, well, I NEED to know why someone cheated, so yes, I hope there was his POV there too. I don't know if I'll read this series, but I'm glad you're liking it so much, Aman! Great review! :)

    1. NO! You read the spoiler! Oh well, you should still give it a try sometime. When I first read the synopsis, it didn't seem like something I would enjoy but after reading the story, I absolutely fell in love with it.
      Thanks!
