With her thirtieth birthday looming, Emma Harrison finds her biological clock clanging and the elusive knight in shining armor yet to appear. She’s running out of options, especially after her gay best friend backs out from being her sperm donor. Of course, there’s always a sperm bank, but Emma fears a donor mix-up might impregnate her with the spawn of Satan.

Resident company womanizer, Aidan Fitzgerald, is used to always getting what he wants, especially in the bedroom. When Emma spurns his advances at the company Christmas party, he's determined to have her no matter what it takes. After Aidan learns of Emma's predicament, he is quick to offer a proposition that will benefit them both. He will father Emma's child, but she must conceive it with him naturally. Not one for hook-ups or casual sex, Emma is reluctant to take him up on his offer, but his charm, coupled with her intense desire for motherhood, wins out.

Soon their baby-making sessions become more than just physical. Aidan can't seem to walk away from her while Emma begins to wonder if Aidan could be the one. But can Aidan leave his past behind to become the man Emma needs him to be?

Damn! That is exactly what I needed right now. Having had the worst reading experience this past week with a couple of drop offs and even a DNF (you wouldn't know by looking at my blog), I really really needed a healthy dose of good ole romance filled with drama and that is exactly what I got from The Proposition. It had a player, a good girl, a big traditional family, a loyal dog, some flirting, a weird proposal and lots of smexy scenes. It was a full packed for a romance reader and I loved it.

Emma feels like her biological clock is ticking at 30 and now she wants to have a baby, married or not. That's where the infamous manwhore of her work place, Aiden comes in. He has been eyeing Emma since she rejected him in the office Christmas party and now that he know she needs a sperm donor, he offers her a proposition to help her get pregnant but he wants them to do the deed naturally. I know it has a very coincidental romance storyline but who cares, it was done tremendously well and I loved Emma & Aiden's story. Emma is a very realistic person, I loved that she took her time with Aiden, didn't trust him with her heart instantly because of his so-called reputation and made right choices. As for Aiden, he was a charmer with a commitment issue and I'm so glad that he was willing to change his ways for Emma. What I didn't get is why he freaked out in the end, there was no reason for him to act that way. It just proves that men will always be men. I'm so glad that I have the sequel ready in hand because I would have died if I had to wait for it.

Katie Ashley knows how to write an addicting story, I didn't want to do anything besides sit in a corner and finish the story. The Proposition is a really good book and I highly recommend you to check it out if you haven't already. It lifted me up from all my previous disappointing reads and it literally made my day. Thank you, Katie Ashley for writing it and now, back to reading The Proposal.

  1. I have read so many great reviews for this book already Aman, so I'm glad that is one the one to get you out of your reading funk. I usually find the light and sexy reads are normally are good at helping you getting your reading mojo back! This situation in this book isn't your typical situation which I like! I think I may have to get a copy of this book soon! Lovely review Aman! :)
