Anna and Bennett were never supposed to meet: she lives in 1995 Chicago and he lives in 2012 San Francisco. But Bennett has the unique ability to travel through time and space, which brings him into Anna’s life, and with him a new world of adventure and possibility.

As their relationship deepens, the two face the reality that time may knock Bennett back to where he belongs, even as a devastating crisis throws everything they believe into question. Against a ticking clock, Anna and Bennett are forced to ask themselves how far they can push the bounds of fate, what consequences they can bear in order to stay together, and whether their love can stand the test of time.

Fresh, exciting, and deeply romantic, Time Between Us is a stunning, spellbinding debut from an extraordinary new voice in YA fiction.
Review:

Time Travel stories are hard for me to read because no matter how good they are, they never have that perfect happily ever after ending that I crave in a romance, and that breaks my heart. Still, I enjoyed Time Between Us. It is such a beautiful story with a hopeful ending, and initially, I wasn't on-board with how things ended, but now that I know there is a sequel which will answers my what-happens-next question, I'm loving this installment even more.

Anna lives in Chicago 1995 where she falls in love with Bennett from San Fransisco 2012. I really liked Bennett, he was so mature and focused with his ability to time travel and I was very impressed with the way he handled things. When Anna knew about his gift, she got very demanding at times, and I was happy to see that Bennett knew when to draw the line. The weakest part of this book was the prologue because it made the story a little predictable and I didn't like that, but halfway in the novel, something changed and I was so surprised by it, and that is the reason why this book is high rated from me. As for romance, it was slow & gradual, and I loved the time Bennett & Anna spend together. It felt very real and romantic especially their first date.

Tamara Ireland Stone did a tremendous job with plotting of the story. I loved how every date and year and event made a play in this story and how every single decision made a difference in the outcome. Time Between Us was an unusual read for me and I really liked it. It is highly recommended to readers who enjoy time travel stories or even if you haven't read any of those before, Time Between Us is a perfect place to start. I can't wait to know the future of Anna & Bennett in Time After Time and to see how they make their relationship work when odds are clearly against them.

  1. Hello! I found your blog through FF. This book sounds interesting. I see it on the shelves at the store all the time but had never heard anything about it. Time travel stories bother me too, but because of all the plot holes they have the potential for--time is a very tricky thing! I'm glad to hear that it was good though. I'll have to put it on my list!

  2. Nice review. Time travel can be picky, but there have been times where I have found a author and a story which ends up satisfying me completely. But its not easy to find a really good one. But I think this one sounds good though. I might just have to put it on my tbr list.

    1. Yes it was. I really like Karen Marie Moning's time travel historicals and this one was just as good.

  3. Hmm... I think I would wait until the next book came out to pick this up. I don't like open endings. This sounds like such a different read with the time travel and I'm afraid of what Bennett wouldn't change. Great review.
