My name is Maggie Raynard. After sixteen years being just plain me, suddenly, when I lose my temper, my fingers become weapons of mass destruction. Turns out I'm a semi-god, descended from Aphrodite. Sounds cool in theory, but when I accidentally put my ex-boyfriend in a coma, things go downhill pretty fast.

Now some new guy named Mac Finnegan has made it his mission in life to continually piss me off. I'm stuck learning how to use my new powers while also dealing with regular high school problems, and with this annoying—and super-hot—guy all up in my business, I'm about to flip out.

But it gets worse. I just learned there's this watchdog council of semis who keeps an eye out for any bad apples. They think I'm the baddest of the bunch and want to take me out before I do any more damage. My nemesis Mac might turn out to be my salvation, only he's got secrets of his own...and they may just kill us both.

Guest Post: Christine O’Neil’s favorite things

Hey everyone, and thanks for coming to visit me on this stop of the Chaos blog tour! I’ve been trying to think of fun and interesting things to do with you guys, and thought we could spend some time talking about our FAVORITE THINGS! I’m going to list my top ten (in no particular order, both for convenience AND so I don’t hurt any of the other things’ feelings. Because sometimes things can be sensitive…) And THEN, you guys let me know some of YOUR favorite things so I can try them out!

#1. The book Sharp Objects by Gillian Flynn. I am basically obsessed with this author and her writing, and not in a I’m-actually-writing-this-from-my-hiding-spot-in-the-crawlspace-beneath-her-house kind of obsessed. I mean in the her-work-makes-me-strive-to-be- a-better-writer kind of obsessed. LOVE her.

#2. Sherlock. If you aren’t hip to this amazing show yet (starring Benedict Cumberbatch) get hip to it. It’s funny and witty and compelling and all things awesome.

#3. Lists. I love making lists and here’s why. Say you have things you have to do, and you have a LOT of them. And you start to get that squidgy feeling in your guts and your brain starts to race, and you don’t know how to make it stop, make a list. Put all the things you need to get done on it and when you do each one, cross it off. I love crossing things off my list SO much, sometimes I add things on there that I already did just to make me feel more accomplished.

#4. The movie Stardust (based on the book by Neil Gaiman). I could watch this movie a million times and never get sick of it. If you haven’t seen it yet, run out and do so now.

#5. Wait, what are you still doing here? You’re supposed to be watching Stardust. Go on!

Real #5. Bacon. Because bacon.

#6. The show New Girl with Zoey DeChanel because it’s hilarious and also because it has a sweet and dorky love story beneath it all, and I’m a sucker for a sweet and dorky love story!

#7. The lack of maggots in my life. This may sound weird, but I hate those disgusting critters SO much, that the lack of them makes me feel super lucky and every day I wake up maggot free is a good one in my book.

#8. Coffee. I’m pretty sure if it wasn’t for this delicious and fortifying beverage, I would have had to give up on my dream of being a writer and become a coalminer. Wait, is that still a thing, or?

#9. Chris Hemsworth. Just google images. Trust me. But wait until you have, like, an extra seven to ten hours free. This might take a while.

#10. Steampunk. The clothes, the gadgets, the worlds, it’s all so frigging cool. I only wish I had known about it years ago. Now I want to marry my husband all over again just so we can have a steampunk themed wedding. And before you ask, YES. You’re invited. If you’d like to bring a gift, we’re registered at Kazoos R Us. Because you can never have too many kazoos, am I right.

And because I think you’re special and you have a nice smile, a bonus #11. Shooz. Like this.

So talk to me, bloggy readers, what are some of YOUR favorite things???
